Policies and procedures
At AVIA Spa, we pride ourselves on offering the best care for our clients. Please make yourself aware of our company policies and procedures described below. Our policies have been designed to ensure you enjoy a truly peaceful and relaxing visit with us.
Booking appointments
Please call us at 805-730-7303 to book all appointments. A credit card is required at the time of booking to hold all appointments. Currently, we do not accept appointments online and we are unable to book, change or cancel appointments online.
Payment Information
We accept credit cards (American Express, MasterCard, Visa) cash, money orders, American Express Travelers Cheques and AVIA Spa gift certificates. We do not accept personal checks. Please note that prices are subject to change without prior notice.
Gratuities
Industry standard for gratuity is 15%-20%, but the amount you leave is completely at your discretion. While cash is preferred by most of the therapists, you may leave the tip on your credit card when you pay for your service.
How to Spa
For any treatment, please arrive 30 minutes early in order to check in, change into your robe, fill out a health questionnaire, and enjoy our facilities. Our day spa includes both male and female locker rooms, each complete with showers, a eucalyptus dry sauna, and complimentary toiletries. You will be provided a personal locker, robe, and sandals upon check in, to be returned at check out. Please remove all jewelry and undress to your level of comfort for your treatment. At your scheduled treatment time, your therapist will meet you in our tea lounge and guide you through the rest of your visit with us.
Inform your therapist of any health concerns, medical conditions or allergies you may have before beginning your treatment. If you are pregnant, please notify the receptionist at the time of booking.
Late Policy
When you book an appointment with us at AVIA Spa your appointment is scheduled with a trained therapist, whose time is allocated exclusively to you throughout your treatment. If you are late for a scheduled appointment, our company policy offers you two options:
- You may opt to shorten your treatment
- You may prefer to reschedule your appointment at a convenient time; however, a 50% cancellation charge will be incurred.
Cancellation Policy
AVIA Spa understands that occasionally you may have to cancel an appointment with us. However, we do ask that you give us fair warning. You will be telephoned before to confirm your appointment. As a courtesy to our clients and staff, it is company policy for all clients to give 24 hours notification of cancellation; failure to do so will result in a 100% charge of your scheduled treatment.
Series are Exchangeable however Not Refundable
When you purchase a series of treatments, you will receive a discounted price. Because of this discounted price, the payment is to be made at the beginning of your series. Unfortunately, these series are not refundable. AVIA will honor the outstanding amount in the form of a Gift Card exchangeable for goods or services validated for three months.
Products are not refundable
We are sorry, Skin Care products are non-refundable.
Gift Certificates
Gift certificates when purchased have a monetary value regardless of the suggested treatment chosen for the recipient and may be used for any of our services or retail products. Gift certificates may not be redeemed for cash and are not valid for salon services.
Cell Phones
To preserve the tranquility of the spa, we respectfully request that Cellular Telephones be turned off or set to silent when you enter the Spa.
Therapists
All AVIA Spa therapists are California State licensed and trained at AVIA Spa.
Personal Belongings
Lockers are provided for your convenience; however we are not responsible for personal belongings. Please leave valuables at home or keep them with you during your visit with us.
General
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. Children under the age of 12 are NOT permitted in the spa at any time. Children between the ages of 12 and 18 must have parental consent to receive facials or waxing. No exceptions.
Spa facilities are available to clients with scheduled spa appointments only.
